SalsaNor Rueda Congress proudly present another DJ that is totally NEW to the event this year: Dj Yala! She lives in Cologne, where she founded her own party concept „Azuca – The Cuban Salsa and Timba Party“. And she is also organiser of the Cuba Alaaf Festival. And since the SalsaNor Rueda Congress has been run mainly by Girl Power since 2002, we just LOVE to bring a female DJ to the team!
Yala discovered her passion for Cuban dances and music some 13 years ago. And as her love especially for Cuban music grew, she noticed the scarcity of female DJs representing this genre. Beyond Germany, she’s booked internationally and has performed at festivals in Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The SalsaNor Rueda Congress is now thrilled to bring her all the way to Athens! Can´t wait to hit the dance floor with DJ Yala in charge.
