Matias Löyttyniemi
Matias had a couple of workshops at the Madrid edition in 2023, with great success! He is known for his sunny energy, clear pedagogy and deep knowledge of Cuban dance and music.
He has been touring all over Finland for 15 years, spreading the love for casino and rueda to newcomers, enthusiasts and other dance teachers. The rueda scene in Helsinki (and Finland in general) has grown significantly in the last 2-3 years, after Matias made it one of his main focuses as a teacher and event organizer. Don´t miss out on his classes in Tromsø!

Kjetil Pedersen
Kjetil is one of our Norwegian guest teachers this year, and already known to the SalsaNor Rueda Congress years ago!
He´s a creative and engaging Rueda instructor, particularly recognized for creating a natural flow in the ring by combining traditional calls with unexpected variations that keep the rueda exciting and energetic. He also works actively to explore new possibilities and different rueda structures.
In his classes, Kjetil takes a playful approach and emphasizes a positive atmosphere and clear, structured teaching. He aims to help dancers build confidence, explore possibilities, and fully enjoy the social nature of Rueda de Casino.
Known for his expressive style, musicality, and strong technical foundation, Kjetil focuses on dynamic, interactive dancing where both leaders and followers actively contribute. His teaching emphasizes freedom, creativity, and understanding the building blocks of movement, rather than memorizing fixed patterns.
Kjetil is the founder and lead instructor of Step of Art, a dance school based in Stavanger, Norway. He has been teaching since 2011 and has worked as a full-time dance instructor since 2018. He has extensive experience teaching and performing at national and international events, and is excited to return to the Rueda Congress this year.
