We are bursting with joy to welcome Oliwia Szewczak for the FIRST TIME to the SalsaNor Rueda Congress!

Powerful. Creative. Fun. Oliwia’s dance style is unique – no matter what role she dances! Oliwia started her dance education in 1993 with rhythmic gymnastics and ballet, before continuing her professional dance education at the National Ballet School in Warsaw. Over the years she has developed her dance skills in various styles, including contemporary dance, jazz, modern dance and basic hip hop. In parallel, she practiced semi-professional cycling and basketball.

In 2008 Oliwia discovered Cuban dance, and since then it has been her main and lasting passion. In 2012 she founded her dance school Oye in Warsaw, where she started teaching already in 2009. In 2020 she switched to freelance teaching and has been giving workshops both in Poland and internationally since then.

As a teacher, Oliwia analyses dance techniques such as Casino, Son, Timba and Rumba in detail, paying particular attention to steps, lead and follow dynamics, geometry, body movement, musicality and much more. Oliwia firmly believes that continuous development is essential to maintain energy and motivation, which is why she actively participates in the courses.

Make sure to get to know this amazing dancer and teacher in Graz in September!
