Bringing the one-and-only Luis Duarte to the SalsaNor Rueda Congress is a no-brainer! Since joining us in 2019, Luis has become one of the most popular and admired teachers at our event. His perfect and patient teaching, creativity, energy and dedication to his students, make him a fantastic role model for the next generation of dancers.
Luis began his dance journey at 17 and quickly became a standout in salsa and Afro-Cuban styles. He spent time in Cuba refining his skills in Rumba, Son, Casino, and Afro-Cuban dance before returning to Europe to expand his knowledge with ballet, capoeira, and breakdance. This diverse background has helped him develop a unique, highly musical style that sets him apart.
Based in Hamburg, Luis runs his dance school El Chevere and continues to tour top festivals across Europe. He’s didactically perfect, sympathetic, well present at the parties and possesses simply everything we can ask for when it comes to artist qualities! Of course he is back as a very natural part of our Artist Team and Rueda Family in Tromsø this September!
