Yes – it is possible to transfer (sell) your pass to another person, with some conditions. You must get approval from the organizers first and follow their procedure:

  1. The person you are selling to must fit the same category of your pass – same dance role and same level you originally registered fo. (For example, if you registered as Intermediate Lead, you can only transfer to another Intermediate Lead, provided that category isn’t full.) Always check the current signup status or ask the organizers to ensure that there is availability for that specific role/level for a transfer.
  2. You need to email the organizers (post@ruedacongress.com) with the details of the buyer (name, email, role, level) before you complete the sale. They must confirm and give you a special transfer code or link for the new person to register without payment.
  3. The new pass holder will receive their own order confirmation and QR code once the transfer is approved and processed.
  4. There is an administrative fee of €35 for transferring a pass. The organizers will let you know how to pay this or they will factor it into the transfer process.

Transfers are typically allowed up until a certain date. Make sure to initiate the process well in advance of the congress. Once the transfer is done, remember to sort out the payment between you and the buyer privately (the organizers only facilitate the name change, not the payment exchange). This system allows someone on the waiting list to go in your place if you can’t make it. Just be sure to follow the rules – selling a pass without informing the organizers is not valid, as the pass needs to be officially reassigned.
