For the 2027 SalsaNor Rueda Congress, we are staying at Portugal’s beautiful west coast, perched above the Atlantic Ocean with direct access to Porto Novo Beach. The area is peaceful and surrounded by dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches and green countryside.

The weather around Maceira in September is generally mild and pleasant, with daytime temperatures often around 23–25°C and cooler evenings around 15–17°C. You can expect a mix of sunny days and occasional cloudy or rainy weather, while the Atlantic breeze can make it feel cooler along the coast.
Unlike a city-centre destination, shops, restaurants and attractions are spread out, so we recommend planning ahead and considering a rental car or taxi if you would like to explore the surrounding area. Portugal uses the euro (€), and Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted. It is still a good idea to carry a little cash for smaller cafés, local shops and markets. If you plan to explore beyond the hotel, check local transport options in advance, as public transport in this coastal area is more limited than in a city.

SalsaNor Rueda Congress shuttle bus: The most convenient option is to book the shuttle bus for the congress, that will take you directly from the airport to the Hotel Golf Mar.
