YANULKA OFARRIL (Cu/Es)

Yanulka was born in Havana Cuba in the Cerro neighborhood. She studied at the National School of Art in Havana, (E.N.A), where she graduated as a Dancer and Professor of Modern and Folkloric Dance. Thanks to her talent, she was chosen by the FOLKLORICO NACIONAL DE CUBA, performing in theaters and traveling around the world, where they stayed for 8 years until she established her residence in Madrid in 1999.

In this country that she calls her second homeland, she complements her professional career working with artists of the stature of Alejandro Sanz, with the musical group Los del Rio, the PATAX group, JAZZ FLAMENCO, Oscar de León, Rosario Flores, such as the Mondragón Orchestra with great prestige in Spain, also with Cuban groups such as the Orishas, ​​and the Elito Revé y su Charangón orchestra, among others .

Currently she has her own Cuban dance academy in Madrid called Orishas Dance, where she teaches regular classes of Casino, Afro-Cuban and Cuban Rumba, Timba, Son, Cuban Cabaret (girl style salsa) etc, making it compatible with national and international festivals.
