Diana Ruiz is a Mexican-born dancer, instructor, and choreographer whose love for Rueda de Casino began 10 years ago after moving to Boston, Massachusetts.
During the academic year, Diana teaches casino and rueda lessons for MIT Casino Rueda and Boston Rueda, and she helps run ‘Rueda in the Park’ every Sunday in Cambridge during the Summer. She also leads Despelote Boston, a diverse and vibrant community of local dancers passionate about Cuban dance.
In the past year, Diana was invited to teach at Rueday (NY), RuedX Cincinnati, RuedX Delaware, Boston Cuban Dance Festival, Cubason, and Rueda Vacation in Cozumel, Mexico.
Diana is known for her dynamic rueda calling and her knock-it-out-of-Fenway-park teaching skills. She loves to make people dance, laugh, and miss those Fly mentiras. Don’t miss her at the SalsaNor Rueda Congress!
