About the dance floors at the venues and choice of dance shoes

This post is also available in: esEspañol

We are only a few days away from four days (or six if you are coming already from the pre-congress) of intense dancing activity. During the event we will dance on 8 different floors! Only one of them wooden, as wooden dance floors are quite rare in Spain.

Another one is sand, during the Rueda Beach Party on Thursday afternoon. But for the rest of the time, we will be dancing mainly on hard surface like tile, marble and concrete.  And dancing for a long time on a hard surface may put additional strain on your feet and legs.

You will probably be packing your suitcase soon, and we would like to recommend you to take this information about the floors, into consideration when choosing what footwear to bring to the event.

Another advice when dancing on hard surface is also to stretch your calves afterwards and maybe give yourself a treat with a foot massage 🙂 See you all very soon!
