| I 1986 the norwegian musician Sverre Indis Joner formed the first norwegian salsa orchestra, La Descarga, together with a cuban vocalist and 4 norwegian jazz musicians. Some of the bands performaneces during the last year was the Salsafestival in Oslo, and the MultiKulti-festival on the Cultural Ship MS Innvik. La Descarga play
salsa, but they also have a few other related styles on their
repertoir, like
cha-cha, songo and bomba. |
